You Might Be Here Because…

Many people come to therapy feeling unsure about why certain emotions or patterns keep appearing in their lives.

You might recognize yourself in some of these experiences:

• feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or constant worry
• noticing repeating patterns in relationships
• struggling with self-doubt or feeling behind in life
• navigating grief or a difficult life transition
• wanting to understand how past experiences may still affect you today

Therapy offers a space where you can explore these experiences with curiosity, support, and compassion.

EMDR Therapy for Processing Difficult Experiences

At Essence Therapy Services, we specialize in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a trauma-focused therapy approach that helps the brain process distressing experiences in a healthier way.

Sometimes past experiences continue to affect how we feel, think, and relate to others—even years later.

EMDR therapy can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to these experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming.

People often seek EMDR therapy for:

• trauma and difficult life experiences
• anxiety and emotional triggers
• negative beliefs about themselves
• recurring emotional patterns connected to past events

Therapy in Costa Mesa Serving Orange County

Beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar, and many people wonder what the process will look like.

In our first sessions, we take time to understand what has brought you to therapy and what goals feel most important to you.

From there, therapy may involve exploring emotional patterns, developing practical coping tools, and processing difficult experiences in a way that supports long-term healing.

What to Expect

Many individuals begin therapy through Individual Therapy, while others seek more focused support such as Anxiety Therapy, Depression Therapy, or EMDR Therapy.
